Introduction
The degree in Bachelor of Education comprises the study of academics. It is popularly called B.Ed. and is needed for those who want to make a career in the field of teaching. Here candidates interested in following a career in any teaching school will aspire for the degree.
The degree can be earned only after completing graduation. These days it is mandatory to earn a degree in B.Ed. before you apply for a teaching job in any teaching facility. The course is of one-year duration and can be done parallel with the graduation final year course. One can apply for distance learning program as well.
The exams are conducted by the National Council for Teacher Education, the authorized board in India to regulate the entrance exam.
Admission procedure
Every candidate who aspires to earn a degree in B.Ed. should appear for the entrance exam that is conducted by the recognized board of India. The application forms are provided by paying a small fee to the board.
One can get the application form from the official website of the university. One can also purchase it directly from college or institutions.
The entrance exam comprises objective type questions and will have around 200 questions. Various subjects covered in the exam are logical reasoning, GK, English, common awareness and some subjects from the teaching field. One can choose the specific field as well. Upon passing the entrance exam the candidate will be notified for joining the college.
Eligibility criteria
The candidate should have passed his/her graduation from a recognized university. The graduation should have been done in areas of science and arts. Candidates should score at least a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the graduation degree course. Those who have passed PG degree without the 10+2+3 or 11+1+3 pattern will not be considered for admission.
The admission to the B.Ed. colleges depends on the marks scored by the candidate in the entrance exam. Upon getting the needed score, the candidate will be notified.
Reserved classes can get relaxation in the minimum scores as stated by the recognized board. There is no age criterion so everyone is eligible to appear for the entrance test.
